Hello there!

About me

Gospel is where she comes from, pop is where she's headed - and pulsing through it all is pure, soulful jazz. With her velvety voice, shifting effortlessly between power and the finest emotion, Adrienne Morgan Hammond captivates critics and audiences alike. Ever since her solo debut CD "It's me" earned her the title "The new voice of jazz" from the international press, the singer and composer has enchanted audiences with a fusion of delicate melodies, powerful rhythms, dynamic arrangements and profound lyrics. At her side: her husband, Marco Morgan Hammond, who creates the perfect sonic space with a fine sense of style, elegance and musical class. The guiding credo behind it all is clear: "Music breathes life into your soul".

Adrienne Morgan Hammond

Mission

When she sings, her soul speaks.
There is this breathy, delicate timbre. The way she reinterprets seemingly worn-out standards gets under your skin.

Whoever hears her feels her longing, her compassion for those who suffer, the pain, but also the calm from which she draws her strength. And then there are these powerful bursts of temperament.

When she storms across the stage, fires up her fellow musicians or dances through the audience, something of her incredible zest for life shines through. In every moment she creates authenticity and a commitment to a world worth living in.

Vision

Perhaps the reason for her strong commitment to international understanding lies in her childhood. Born in California and raised in Japan and the Philippines, Adrienne experienced herself early on as a child of this "one world", beyond cultural, linguistic or religious differences.

Together with her husband Marco, and musicians and singers from every corner of the world, she raises her voice against racism of any kind. In the tradition of Martin Luther King Jr., she poses the question in her song, which was voted the anthem of Europride 2002:

'Isn't it time that we share in this dream, living together as one?'
